Programme theme: The central theme of this programme will be the exploration of the many vital and fruitful interactions
between Geometry, Algebra and Analysis. It is impossible to overstate the central significance of these three areas of modern
mathematical research. It is certain that interactions between these areas and their researchers will form the core of much of
future mathematical research both within New Zealand and internationally.

Workshop details:
A workshop focusing on the interaction between analysis and geometry took place in
Napier in the first week of January 2005. An international conference will take place in Auckland the week of 14-18 February
2005 and will focus on the interaction between algebra and geometry. Further information is available on the conference
website
